This Tuesday I'll be heading to Shedd Aquarium in Chicago. This will be my first attempt at aquarium photography. I'm really excited and can't wait to post the images later this week.
I also have the opportunity to shoot a 20's inspired photo shoot sometime soon within the next few months.
Both of these shoots I feel will help me step out of the box a little bit with what I'm use to.
As far as digital paintings go, I'm working on a character painting for a book cover and a landscape painting just for fun.
Thank you to all my new watchers and be sure to check back here soon for new art!

Things to Come
It has been forever since I wrote a journal, so here are some projects I've been working on:
Ghost Town
This is an on going photo shoot where I've been photographing old places with history around Illinois. So far I've been to Alton which is known by some to be the most haunted place in the United States. The trip was certainly an adventure. It was raining most of the day and we had some severe weather including hail and tornadoes. I'm very grateful for my two models Natalie and Katie who stood out in the rain with me to capture some awesome photos. You can see more of these photos in my Gallery but here are a few:

For the Love of Art
First off, Congrats to DeviantART on it's 11th Birthday! This site has been such an inspiration to me and I probably wouldn't have explored various media of art without it.
Coming soon I'll have some exciting things to share with you all. This month I'll be doing some large scale photo shoots with my new camera and experimenting with lighting. As you can tell from my gallery, I love still life, but also doing portraits. It's always fun because everyone is so unique and it's fun to really bring out their style. Some of my models may be willing to allow their images to be stock, so be sure to come back soon to check that out.
I'm also jumping

Here are some of my cheesy thoughts:
This quote means a lot to me right now. Writers have writers block and artists have creativity block. I believe I'm currently in a creative block and I'm sure many of you have had this experience before and know where I'm coming from. When I get like this, I lose all my confidence in what I create or what I'm capable of. I wonder if I'll ever be good enough to make a difference or to even to be able to do this as a career. But every artist has to start somewhere, right? There is always room to grow and improve and be open to new
Upcoming Projects
Hey everyone!
As you all can probably see, I don't have a lot of my artwork up yet. Being in school kind of takes away from my creative time. Anyway, here are some things I'm working on and will be coming soon.
1. Working on another digital art drawing. It is a book cover and is certainly a challenge for me from the Edmund drawing I did before.
2. I'll have more photography up soon and possibly stock images. I am planning on buying a new camera and once I do, I'm going to be taking a lot more photos.
So, stay tuned and add comments, follow me, ask me questions, give me advice, and all that good stuff! = )
